Soon Summer!!

  It's soon summertime! I can't wait!! Beach, warm weather, hopefully less rain, Softball Nationals in Colorado, visiting Maryland and DC, tanner skin, Nantucket again, eating our meals outside on our new patio furniture, grilling on our new gas grill, sitting around the firepit roasting smores at night, oo i just cannot wait!!!

We've been pretty busy lately too as well.  Sienna and I made a ferry ride over to Nantucket to visit my godmom (great aunt) it was her first time meeting sienna and sienna's first time on the ferry.

Sienna Loved being outside in the wind, but grr she has no fear, she wanted to look over the edge of the rail into the water and poor me suffering all these illusions that she'd fly off the side and into the water - I was PARANOID hah, had my strategy all mapped out if she did fall, I located the life saver raft tube thingy, was gonna yank it off and jump in - located where people were working so i could wave to them as I jumped off etc.. yeh.... did i mention i was paraniod?

On Nantucket!!! I LOVE nantucket, my godmom lives there year round.  This is the historial main st on Nantucket, the roads are still not paved over in this part of Nantucket.

we stayed for three days, was supposed to be 4 but there was a bad storm and the ferrys would have stopped going during the storm so we left early.

we could tell a storm was coming on the way home, the boat was seriouuusslly rocking. poor sienna couldnt sit up without crying so i lay her down and she was fine horizonal-wise.

there was a carnival in a nearby town so ofc me zoom bring sienna there for her first time going on rides herself! She loveeeeeddd the car rides, she went on it 3 times heh.

my mommy wanted sienna for the night because she was going to florida for a week and wanted to grab some time with her granddaughter, ofc me grab oppuntunity to go to the carnival with my girls!!! its been a long time since ive gone to a carnival, i felt like a little girl again lol!

the Monkey is leaving soon, his internship is soon over, so me kelly jason brought listman out fri and sat night to bid him farewell.

Spring cleaning

 Spring cleaning doesn't only apply to like.. mopping and decluttering and dusting, but for me it also means change.  Change from the long new england winter habits and rountine, change in what we do with time, and who we spend the time with. Spring cleaning to me also means new additions to a household wether it be decorative, company, light or applicances! heh.

We got lucky, and had a t.v. and surround sound system handed down to us, and it is SO nice, the music is great, and the tv is HD, so we got to buy an HD cable box, and it's awesome watching the RedSox on a big screen in HD and surround sound. 

We also got surprised with our tax returns, so we got to spluge and catch up on our bills and have us a bit of fun.

We got a new 19 inch flat screen monitor for our computer, sheesh LONG OVER DUE for a new monitor - it's SO nice. and saves so much space.

Sienna has new hobbies, such as painting, she can sit-er stand- for hours and paint. we have a little budding artist slash singer slash dancer slash actress slash comedian slash olympic marathon runner- her energy is sky high and she is just SO full of life. What was life like without her.. i can't even remember.

Jason got a new tattoo, the sign for libra- and jason also is in the process of trying to get a new body, he's been eating over 3000 calories a day, he's gained abt 40 pounds in 3 months- went from 135/140 to 180-183. he's psyched, he's been working out alot and just living a healthier life style, it's great (i need to follow suit eek, i have been working out alot lately, but eek, need to quit smoking and the potato chips and mcdonalds and whatnot)

I got a new phone/pager.  it's sprint's LG rumor, I L O V E it!!!!

I also got rid of my tooth that has been bothering me for.. um  half a year? lol I chickened out once, then after 3 weeks of like trying to convince myself to JUST GET IT TAKEN OUT, i finally just did. and what a big freaking baby i am, it didn't even hurt.  Just the thought of them taking it out while I'm awake, freaked the everliving shit out of me. but... it didn't hurt LOL! it hurts less now, and when u see the pic, u'll understand just why =X

eek sorry for the gross material. but.. hey, this was in my goddamn mouth =X  how mortifying.  When i went to the doctor about my tooth hurting etc, he looked found out i needed that tooth removed and 4 cavites filled, and he asked me if i was sick recently for a long period of time and all that. And i told him when i was pregnant with sienna, not one day went by that i did not throw up less than 5 times for 12 months, and he was like, "no wonderrr" and all that, cuz he said he's seen bulmics with the same sort of tooth decay, cuz the stomach acid was eating away at the enamel. ick.  

my good (great!) friend Jason Listman came to mass for an internship for this semester, so he's here till May, and he's been such great company, I've missed him so much and am so happy he's here for a while. 

sienna calls him "monkey" (signs it). listman taught her the sign for monkey last summer and for some reason sienna remmas that and calls him monkey LOL

my friend ariane and her BEAUTIFUL baby girl- its great having a friend who is a mommie =D   she's such a good mom too, I'm so proud of her.

Spring time means my flowers start to grow yay!!!

Life lately

Things have been good, work is stressful, and I 've realized that the human service field is something I am not interested in doing any longer, especially in a deaf "professional" field.  While I'm sure my experience does not apply to deaf workfields in general, the place I work at- I aint gonna deal with it any longer, I'm getting paid crap money and drive an hour away to be among staff that still seem to think they are in middle school.  Most of the employees are uneducated, immature, have a complete lack of experience, and it makes me feel very sorry for the individuals that are being serviced by this agency.  They are not getting the best care they can, and there are incompetent people making important life decisions for the clients because they are not able to make it for themselves.  Frankly, the whole ordeal makes me sick to my stomach.  I tried my best, I learned alot about my management skills and I found that it is something that I excel at, I'm a good manager, I thrive off deadlines and paperwork and office politics and monitoring and training and I KNOW it is something I want to do for the rest of my life, management.  BUT not in this sort of human service/ "socialwork" field. 

However, I did land another management position for Curves near my home, a women fitness gym, and so far the people seem very positive, and my soon to be boss is such a nice lady.  The person that left that position for me to take, was deaf herself, left her amplified phone behind, everyone is used to the concept there is a hard of hearing/ deaf person working the front desk, the customers are accustomed to it, and DAMN... i got lucky.

On another note, my friend had her baby finally! Such a beautiful girl

BUT my beautiful girl DID NOT like it when I was holding the new baby, she was totally terrified, and when I picked her up to comfort her, she refused to let go of me for a long time, clinging onto me for dear life. sheesh, well guess having a 2nd kid is out of the picture, really even before seeing Sienna's reaction, I knew I did not want anymore kids.  Jason and I both agreed (for now) that we're perfectly happy with just one. 

Leaving my friend and her newborn baby at the hospital, I didn't leave feeling like, OH i want a baby and all those "typical" feelings women get when they see a newborn.  Instead, I remembered the sleepless nights, and the sinking feeling in my stomach of how the reality of being responsible for a human life causing me to break out into tears and sweat.  I remember the messes and the tiredness and the crankiness and just feeling the total loss of control.  While I love sienna, and I see that it was all worth it,   I don't wanna go through it again.  I left that hospital saying to myself, "thankgod thats not me"

my mom's 49th birthday was last saturday (YAY we finally know her real age, for the past 100 years she has been saying she's 29)  my sister came down from college and i got to spend some time with her.  Good family times.  I love them all so much.

katie and brady-   this 6 month old puppy (yeh...puppy) still can't go up stairs, and he is now 60 pounds.... have you ever read marley and me??? this is marley reincarnated. except with better behavior.

For my Sienniebums, there'll be several birthday events and parties for her in the next couple of weeks.   Jason and I both have to work tomorrow  =(   but i'll be there in the morning, and will have a birthday breakfast and lunch for her, with some presents, then jason gets home and gives her the cake. her babysitter better rub on the happy birthday to you charm while we're working, hmf.  Then Friday me n my brother and sienna will take a mini road trip up to my sister's college and have a birthday dinner with sienna the four of us. then we stay at a hotel with a pool and sienna can go swimming n stuff. then saturday my mom n dave and jason will drive up, and we all go skiing, will be sienna's first time?? see/see!   then next week will have another birthday celebration for sienna with the extended family.    fun fun times ahhheaddd

my webcam came with this feature, lol last nite i was bored since i've stopped smoking, sometimes at night i don't know what to do with myself, before i would relax outside chain smoking with a glass of wine or a cocktail and read.  Now I'm slowly learning how to read without smoking, drink without smoking, unwind without smoking... but hey, i feel a hell of alot healthier and cleaner.  it's nice not stinking like cigs all day and all night, i smell like i've just gotten out of the shower all day long.  Here's my lovely acting lol!
